Whitecaps School Days Games Make Learning Fun

Popular spring School Days games are set to return to West Michigan's Fifth Third Ballpark later this month. The special games get kids out of the classroom and into the ballpark for a fun, non-traditional learning experience. Students will experience interactive activities that promote fitness and learning on all three scheduled West Michigan Whitecaps dates. Special events planned at this year’s games include:
- May 22: Impression 5 Science Center will demonstrate their trebuchet, a catapult used to fling heavy objects; kids can also learn at a Lego station and binary code necklace station.
- May 23: Kids will enjoy interacting with exhibits from the Michigan Science Center.
- June 5: An attempt will be made to break a Guinness Book of World Records achievement for number of dips performed in one hour, and kids will have an opportunity to get physically active on the field.
Students, parents and educators will enjoy the learning opportunities and have the chance to take in an action-packed ballgame. Every student will receive a free “Go Caps” cheer card to root for their favorite team. Sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network, Whitecaps School Days games are the perfect opportunity to expand student learning beyond the confines of the classroom to get kids active and excited about education.
