SVP Large Group Business & President West Michigan
When you think of Northern Michigan, you might picture beautiful scenery and ample opportunities for recreation. While that’s certainly true, there’s so much more the region has going for it. As someone who lives and works here, I’m excited about the energy and growth taking place throughout northern Michigan, particularly in the business community. Hard work and an entrepreneurial spirit thrive here. The people who live in these close-knit communities support one another and support local businesses.
Jeff Connolly is senior vice president & president, West Michigan & Upper Peninsula, for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. In my role at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, I’m proud of our commitment to our members in the region and to the communities we serve. We’re the health insurance provider of choice, offering the best provider networks in northern Michigan while also providing national access to care, which allows our members to take us with them wherever they go in the state or beyond. We’ve been a Michigan company for more than 70 years, with offices and an intentional presence in many communities across the state. We heavily invest in community organizations and events in northern Michigan, sponsoring and supporting a variety of initiatives to move the health of the region forward. Our Traverse City walk-in center is one of the most heavily utilized in the state, with friendly staff available to answer your questions live and in-person. As part of our support of the region and business community, we’re excited to sponsor the upcoming Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce Business Expo, which will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at the Grand Traverse Resort & Spa. As a former Chamber Board Chair, I’m honored to speak at the chamber’s Economic Outlook Breakfast, presented by Fifth Third Bank, which precedes the expo from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Also speaking at the event will be Mitch Stapley, an economist and Chief Investment Officer for ClearArc Capital Inc. The breakfast presentation will focus on major economic issues and trends impacting northwest Michigan. I’m looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones at this wonderful annual event. Register for the event here and please introduce yourself on Tuesday. If you enjoyed this post, you might also like:
