Blue Care Network expands into Chippewa and Dickinson counties to increase access in the Upper Peninsula

Chippewa County War Memorial Hospital and Dickinson County Memorial Hospital are now included in Blue Care Network’s provider network. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is expanding the number of health plan choices available to Upper Peninsula residents by expanding its HMO, Blue Care Network, into Chippewa and Dickinson counties. In addition to the new product offerings for individuals and employer groups in these counties, BCN has also expanded its provider network in the region by adding:
- Chippewa County Memorial Hospital and Dickinson County Memorial Hospital
- 28 new ancillary providers
- 23 new primary care physicians
- 16 new pharmacies
- 320 new specialist
