Celebrate the New Year by enjoying a Grand Rapids Griffins hockey game! Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network will be the presenting game sponsor of the defending Calder Cup champions at their Friday, Jan. 5 game against the Rockford IceHogs, which starts at 7 p.m. The sponsorship will highlight our #MIKidsCan initiative, which encourages everyone to help the young people of our state eat right and get active. Bring the kids and get to Van Andel Arena early to enjoy #MIKidsCan giveaways and to play a puck shot game on the concourse. Fans will have a chance to take a shot on goal for a chance to win a co-branded hockey puck. The first 4,000 fans through the door will receive a cheer card to rally the Griffins to victory. We started #MIKidsCan to help you spread the word about how your kids stay healthy. Learn more at AHealthierMichigan.org/MIKidsCan. With one in three Michigan kids considered overweight or obese, it’s more important than ever for kids to know the importance of good nutrition and exercising every day. When kids are healthy, the future is bright. The upcoming Griffins game is one of many partnerships across the state of Michigan. Since its inception, #MIKidsCan has helped teach more than 230,000 kids across the state healthy habits to last a lifetime. If you enjoyed this post, you might also like:
