Uniting Michigan: 2019 Mackinac Policy Conference Preview

The issues being addressed at next week’s Mackinac Policy Conference can be looked at as challenges or opportunities. As the Diamond sponsor of the annual event, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is focused on opportunity. Unlike any other event of its kind in Michigan, the conference brings together business and political leaders from all sectors and persuasions to focus on a unifying agenda to build a stronger state. We’re proud to support the Detroit Regional Chamber’s efforts to guide us toward One Michigan – this year’s conference theme – by bringing in a variety of prominent state and national speakers to provide thought leadership on this year’s conference pillars, designed to illuminate paths to:
- Prepare Michigan through education and talent
- Grow Michigan by supporting economic development and entrepreneurship
- Love Michigan with a focus on sustainability and stewardship
We’ll have a strong presence on the island through our Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Blogger Zone and with our onsite podcaster, Chuck Gaidica, host of our A Healthier Michigan Podcast. The conference runs May 28 – 31. If you can’t make it to the island this year, many of the sessions will be broadcast live on Detroit Public Television, which also has a streaming service so everyone statewide can join the conversation.
