These are the pillars driving a new Customer Consulting team within Clinical Strategies in the Health Plan Business Division at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. The team will focus on collaborating with group customers to create innovative solutions to address their healthcare needs. A customer-centric service model will enable group customers to provide their employees with the best quality and most cost-effective healthcare experience. “This is really about changing how we serve our customers,” said Nicole Lee, director, Customer Consulting. “The team is bringing new energy and excitement to data analysis through a renewed approach that focuses on delivering data in a consultative, solution-focused manner. We believe this approach will allow us to bring more value to the customers we serve.” “Our intimate understanding of our customers’ goals and philosophies and our in-depth knowledge of their data uniquely positions Blue Cross to be a strategic, consultative partner to our employer groups. Our approach will allow us to further demonstrate the value that Blue Cross can deliver to our customers,” said Aaron Friedkin, M.D., vice president, Clinical Strategies. Lee added that the team is looking to add people with consulting backgrounds who are interested in helping meet the needs of Blue Cross customers and transform the way health care is delivered to members.The team will leverage a deep understanding of Blue Cross customers’ data and translate it into actionable insights to help shape the right strategies in support of their health care goals and medical cost management initiatives.
